SVL’s quality management system covers every stage of production, from incoming yarn to the finished garment in the export carton. We work to an internal AQL of 1.5, welcome third-party inspection and hold ISO 9001:2015 certification for our quality management processes.
Quality failures in garment manufacturing usually happen for one of two reasons: poor process control during production, or a final inspection that is too late to fix the problem.
SVL is designed to prevent both. Our quality management system places inspection at multiple stages throughout production, not just at the end. Problems are caught early, corrected immediately and documented. By the time a garment reaches the final inspection stage, it has already been checked several times.
This approach reduces rejection rates, reduces rework costs and reduces the risk of a buyer receiving goods that do not meet their specification.
Problems are corrected during production, not after it.
Inspection records maintained across all stages.
Five inspection gates between incoming yarn and the packed export carton. Every gate must pass before the order moves forward.
Incoming yarn is checked for count, composition, twist and package quality. Yarn that does not meet specification does not enter production.
During knitting, garments are checked for dimensional accuracy, knit structure consistency and shaping. Machine issues are corrected here.
Before dyeing, garments are inspected for dropped stitches, holes, laddering and dimensional deviation. Defective pieces are separated.
After dyeing and finishing, garments are checked for colour consistency against the approved standard, dimensional stability and handle.
Before packing, AQL sampling covers visual defects, measurements, labelling and packaging. Defects classified Critical, Major or Minor.
Every order passes a structured final inspection before it is released for packing and dispatch.
Verification against the packing list.
Across inspection zones, Zone A and Zone B.
Against the approved size specification.
On stretch, recovery and construction.
Cartons, labels and hangtags verified.
Our in-house laboratory allows us to test fabric and garment quality without relying on external labs for routine checks. Our equipment includes:
SVL welcomes third-party inspection at any stage of production. We work with internationally recognised inspection agencies and provide full access to our facility, production records and goods.
If your buying policy mandates pre-shipment inspection or your brand runs its own quality programme with a nominated agency, please inform us at order confirmation stage. We will coordinate scheduling and ensure your inspector has everything they need.
SVL holds ISO 9001:2015 certification, the international standard for quality management systems. This certification covers the processes, documentation and management systems through which we plan, control and improve quality across our operation.
ISO 9001:2015 is not a product certification. It certifies that our processes for managing quality are systematic, documented and subject to regular audit. For buyers conducting supplier qualification, it provides evidence that quality management at SVL is not informal or operator-dependent.
If your brand has a supplier quality manual, a nominated inspection agency or specific testing requirements, write to us before placing an enquiry. We will assess alignment and respond honestly.
