SVL holds WRAP, Sedex, GRS and ISO 9001:2015 certifications. These cover ethical production, social compliance, recycled content and quality management. All certificates are available to buyers on request.
International buyers operating in markets with sourcing compliance requirements need more than a supplier’s word. They need documented, third-party verified evidence that the factory they source from meets defined standards.
SVL’s four certifications cover the four areas that matter most to responsible sourcing teams: ethical production practices, social compliance, recycled content traceability and quality management systems.
Independent audits, not self-declarations.
Certificates shared directly with sourcing teams.
What each certification covers, why it matters to your sourcing team and where SVL stands.
An independent certification programme that audits apparel manufacturing facilities against 12 principles covering legal compliance, ethical labour practices, workplace safety, environmental responsibility, customs compliance and security.
A WRAP-certified facility has been audited by an independent WRAP-approved monitor and found compliant with its 12 core principles: evidence that the factory operates legally, pays workers fairly, maintains safe working conditions and does not use child or forced labour.

A global platform for sharing responsible sourcing data. Suppliers registered on Sedex undergo SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit), a widely recognised ethical trade audit covering labour standards, health and safety, environment and business ethics.
Sedex registration and SMETA audit completion gives buyers access to verified data on SVL’s ethical practices. Many European and UK brands require their suppliers to be registered on Sedex as a condition of doing business.
Registered and audited. SMETA audit type and audit dates being updated.
An international, voluntary standard that sets requirements for third-party certification of recycled content, chain of custody, social and environmental practices and chemical restrictions in products.
GRS certification allows SVL to supply garments made from certified recycled fibres and to issue transaction certificates verifying the recycled content in each shipment. For brands with sustainability commitments, GRS-certified supply is a requirement. Recycled fibres we work with include Recycled Cotton, Recycled Polyester, Recycled Nylon and biodegradable polyester and spandex.
Certified. Certified fibre types and scope being updated from certificate.
The international standard for quality management systems, published by the International Organisation for Standardisation. It specifies requirements for a QMS through which an organisation consistently provides products meeting customer and regulatory requirements.
ISO 9001:2015 certification means SVL’s quality management processes are documented, implemented and subject to regular external audit: evidence that quality at SVL is managed systematically, not informally.
Certified. Certification body, scope and validity being updated from certificate.
